Toddler Reading Pack

All families living in South Australia with a child aged 18 months+ are eligible to collect a FREE Toddler Reading Pack. The pack is designed to encourage parents to read, play, talk and sing with their toddler every day to support their emerging literacy and numeracy skills.

Supporting services across SA have been provided with the Toddler Reading Pack to give to families.

  • Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) clinics statewide
  • Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) Children's Centres
  • DECD supported playgroups
  • Selected outreach services
  • Occasional and rural care programs

The 2018 Toddler Reading Pack includes:

  • Busy Little Creatures  - discover a world of busy little creatures and rare words in this fun new book for toddlers
  • Jump and Shout! - an award winning picture book that celebrates movement, play time and having fun outside
  • Garden Stew - friends Tattie and Spud head outside to make imaginative culinary creations in their very own backyard
  • I Spy Food - join Penny Pear and friends as they discover where food grows and how to recognise different food types
  • I Spy Food Activity Book - an accompanying activity book to I Spy Food, full of tips, recipes and fun facts
  • I Spy Food Jigsaw - pop out the jigsaw pieces and have fun matching the pictures and counting the objects
