Baz & Benz

Heidi McKinnon
A delightfully funny and warm-hearted story about a little owl exploring the boundaries of love and friendship.

My family and friends
You will need:
• Template (see attached)
• Pictures of family and friends
• Sticky tape or glue.

What to do:
1. Stick pictures of family and friends into each square of the template.
2. Point to each person and ask your child “Who is this?”. You can write the name of each person next to their picture
3. Talk about each of the people and their relation to your child (Grandparent, sister, friend).
4. Keep the poster where your child can look and talk about it regularly (fridge door, bedroom wall).

More ideas:
You might like to make a card to send to a family member or a friend. Or maybe invite them for a play date, or to a picnic in the park.

STEM Focus
Toddlers are ready to move and love to learn about their bodies. Every day toddlers need at least 3 hours of active play, spread across the day*. This helps develop their strength, co-ordination, balance and overall health. Outdoor play including running, rolling, jumping, climbing, chasing bubbles, exploring and dancing help them learn about what their body can do. It’s especially fun as part of a play date with friends.

Songs to sing
