Community Libraries Update - 2017

 |  tags:

As a result of Raising Literacy Australia's (RLA)  yearly fundraising activities, community organisation’s across South Australia can apply for a “Community Library” to support families they are working with. The libraries consist of an IKEA bookcase, over 350 quality picture and board books and a folder of educational resources to promote early literacy development.

Organisation’s can apply online and the libraries are currently allocated on a quarterly basis. Each library is valued at $1000 and provides young children with additional access to quality books outside of the home environment to encourage regular play, conversations, singing and reading.
